We delivered full electrical installations for five new-build homes, ensuring regulatory compliance and seamless coordination across the two-year development.
The Brief
West Mercian Property Ltd were constructing a five-unit residential development and required a trusted electrical contractor to handle all first and second fix works. The primary objective was to ensure a smooth electrical installation that aligned with both BS7671 standards and wider Building Regulations, all within the programme set by the main contractor.
We were recommended by another contractor who had previously worked with the team. Following successful engagement, our remit was to complete all works on time and to a high standard, supporting the client’s delivery schedule and compliance needs.
The Project
Our scope covered complete electrical systems across five new properties—from distribution boards through to final outlets and lighting. This included standard domestic circuits as well as connections for renewable systems such as air source heat pumps and solar panels.
The works extended over two years, we consistently coordinated with multiple trades on site to maintain the build schedule. While the project didn’t involve live environments, maintaining programme certainty and cross-trade collaboration were essential to keeping progress on track.
All installations were completed to current BS7671 standards, and fully aligned with Part P and other relevant building regulation requirements for new build compliance.
The Outcome
The development was completed on time and within budget, with all five units delivered to a fully compliant, ready-for-sale standard. Our delivery helped ensure the overall site programme stayed on track, enabling the client to bring the homes to market as planned.
Following this project, we have gone on to complete three further developments for West Mercian Property—demonstrating the value of a consistent, reliable delivery partner.
